On October 9, 2020, Mike Flanagan, Chief Product Officer, MTC and DJ Roth, Technical Product Manager, MTC, addressed: “How do we change how the world evaluates high school students?” — a question that seemed almost insurmountable when we first started on our journey.
A lot has changed since then — both in the world at large and in the work of MTC. What’s most important is that the Mastery Transcript is now real. Dozens of students used it successfully last year to apply to college, and that number will triple this coming year. For the MTC product team, we’re pivoting from trying to start a wave of change, to trying to surf that wave, and the implications for our product strategy and our design priorities are profound.
Watch the recording to find out what we have learned so far, what we’ve built for this fall and winter that’s new, and what we are planning for our next-generation of tools for member schools and for college admissions officers. We’re excited about all of it, and we think you will be, too.
