Welcome to the Mastery Transcript Consortium’s new website. We’ve been working on it for months, and we’re eager to share it with you.
We hope this new site helps schools better understand the MTC’s mission and then assists them to make the case to faculty, administrators, and others about why it’s time to join the effort to transform high school by changing the transcript.
Tour the site, and you’ll find videos that explain and explore issues at the heart of this effort. You’ll also find some preliminary thinking about what the new transcript might look like – “might” being the operative word. The transcript is not made yet, which is one reason we’re eager for schools to join the Consortium. We need the best thinkers and best thinking to develop a transcript that will lead towards mastery and present each student’s accomplishments and humanity to colleges.
The site also offers a handful of articles and research to support its claims. We’re eager for more, so please send additional resources our way.
We hope you share the site widely within your school community. We want educators to explore this possibility, help shape its ultimate outcome, and participate in what Tony Wagner calls a “game changer.”
If you’re a member of the Consortium, we hope the site gives you what you need. If you’re curious about becoming one, we hope the site helps make the case. Either way, we’d love to hear your feedback or suggestions so please send them to Terry Dubow at dubow@mastery.org
And don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
